You donât want another dinner and movie date with your loved one. There are sites that offer free ideas for a romantic evening at home. Here are some that I picked up:

~ Challenge your partner to a game of thumb wrestle.

~ Surprise your mate by handing her/him the remote.
The most appreciated gifts involve service, thought and time. How about doing the dishes for the first time in your life? Or fixing a broken chair without being asked to? What about writing a poem?
We have just been through another day of giving and receiving gifts. Valentine’s Day is the time for romantic gifts. Much as we like to give the most that we can afford, we never turn our backs on cheap romantic gift ideas. We never tire of stories about wealthy successful couples who, while enjoying fancy gifts now, started by giving each other cheap but meaningful gifts in their early years together. Stack a few, tie with a ribbon and you are good to go. A friend who loves to garden will get pleasure from potted herbal plants. She will love it so much she might even bring over a bowl of pasta.
